UGC Recognition
AKS University, Satna is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act.
AICTE Status
According to law, universities do not need AICTE approval. Only institutions affiliated with Universities require approval. As AKS University is a bona fide University established by a State Act and duly recognized by UGC, it does not require AICTE approval. This standing of law was established by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Bharathidasan University vs. AICTE.

Approval / Recognition of DGMS
As per the Mines Act 1952, persons holding a Degree in Mining Engineering from any recognized University have been exempted from passing the Second Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency examination. Similarly, persons holding a Diploma or Merit Certificate in Mining have been exempted from passing the Overman's Certificate of Competency examination.
